The first person prosecuted for social media posts in relation to last week’s riot has been sentenced to 20 months in prison.

Jordan Parlour, 28, of Seacroft, Leeds, was charged with publishing written material in order to stir up hatred in relation to Facebook posts and comments he made in early August.

Parlour had a broken heel and was at home when he wrote the post, telling his friends to “smash [the] f***” out of the nearby hotel, which had 210 occupants, many of whom were asylum seekers and refugees.

The hotel was put into lockdown on August 3 and police were later called to protect it.

Kuwaiti with 13 year old. Hamoud Al Soaimi, 21, for three counts of sexual assault and one assault by penetration, jailed for two years suspended for two years with 180 hours unpaid work

2 tier system. Our legal system needs a total overall.

Ricky Jones has really scared me, when he asked for people to slit people's throats. A massive crowd, cheered and applauded.

Police in England are very good at catching people who say naughty things on the internet, that happens very swiftly and is given a lot of publicity. Not so good at catching murderers and rapists though. Definitely not good at recognizing threats to the public, or preventing attacks on the public.

The Labour councillor must be going to prison for what he said then for sure. If Starmer stands by his words…… it’s prison for his councillor

If there is any justice in the country, Dartford councillor Ricky Jones will be his cellmate

Jailing someone for speaking their mind is disgusting, & disturbing. Absolute tyranny. Anyone that thinks this is alright, is a traitor to all humanity !

Why is Ricky Jones only being sentenced on 9th Sept whilst everyone else is on a 4 day turn around. That's not ok

Jailed for 20 months for bad words and 3 Muslims attacked police in an airport and have not even been charged. Then they ask what is two tier justice system.

So what’s happened to the men who attacked the police in the airport. If he gets 20 months for words I take it those people will get 20 years for a violent and deliberate attack??!!! Yeah right!
