I started out on a squire starter pack in 2001. Was the best thing I ever could've asked to start on. It had unlimited tones, various settings, a whammy bar which I went nuts over and all my favorite songs and solos were played on that guitar. Shaped my entire musical life. My family didn't have a lot of money growing up and when I paid my dues on acoustic my mom got me this very kit and I'm still playing to this day 15 years later. I own a decent tube amp and few guitars now but every now and then I go back to my old squier strat and it feels like coming home.

i started playing electric guitar with this pack (i had a classic guitar already) and even though the comments seem bad I would haven't chosen any other option for the same prize, it is destined to beginners who doesn't know if they will like this kind o guitar or doesn't have much money and I definitely learnt many things with this pack so I cant speak badly bout it.

That amp is legendary! It had very raw and crunchy sound that as you move forward with your playing you try to find and mimic either digitally or on big amps. I mean when you start you don't care about mic placements or stuff like that, all you need is a tiny box, guitar and some bedroom romance lol.
