A month ago I bought the 139 $ green Squier esquire. I could not believe the good quality for the money I paid so I went ahead and bought a yellow sonic Stratocaster for 159 on sale. Still surprised at the good quality I may not have to do any upgrades. They even stay in tune. I bought these directly from Fender and got them in about three days from Arizona. I can think of a multitude of different ways. I could've wasted my money but at least I have two very good students/intermediate guitars and I can play them live and I have.

Agreed! Got one for my daughter and it was very nice. Way better than the Epiphone Special II I got for only $25 less.
