The aunt is one bitter, self righteous, judgemental woman. God, help me never turn out like her.

The reason the Chinese could work on the rails from the ocean is they drank tea not water.

Did anyone notice that Aunt Clare is the same woman that plays Sarah Atwood the arsenal that Caroline hires to use Jamie so she can blackmail him

This the saddest of all of the Yellowstone sagas. And probably the most accurate.

That was a horrible time. Most doctors were deadlier than the afflictions they tried to cure. I think I would have survived but these people probably all thought the same thing. More died on the trails than made it. But if I was the same person I would have probably stopped in Colorado or Montana. I think if I had crossed one dangerous ocean and already climbed one mountain range I don't think climbing a even higher mountain range just to live by another ocean would have held an attraction for me. I think I have a phobia about large bodies of saltwater. Fresh water bodies don't bother me, I can swim like a fish. I have been swimming a couple of times in the ocean. I was barely able to cover up my anxiety while doing it but I didn't want my then girlfriend to know I was scared of a lil saltwater! Phobias are crazy the way that you just have them!

All these guys that are survivalists to show you how to purify water, the only way to purify it is to boil it

If you go to the pioneer cemeteries and read the markers there are whole families buried side by side who died within days of each other, often from youngest to oldest. One outbreak could take half a town.

So Claire Dutton was also Sarah Atwood… I knew there was something familiar about her in 1883 and then seeing her in Yellowstone.. They gave her the character of Sarah Atwood after she was killed off in 1883… well what do you know?

As a kid growing up around my grandparents farm we drank out of the creek where the cows crossed all the time. Looking back Im surprised we never got properly sick from it. It seemed to actually give me a strong immune system but cholera is a whole other level of nasty. Like the lady said its best to boil it for a long time before drinking it if in that situation. They did what they could with what they had. My mum and dad grew up with no electricity or phone and a small rainwater tank for the household water. It sure as hell was different back in the days this was set in

Do Americans think that European rivers are somehow safer to drink than American once? I mean I woukd get it if they were like Icelandic or something where basicay every water source you find is safe to drink. But German speaking Russians?
