One of my best friends growing up is in one of these relationships. He recently told me he’s almost gotten divorced 6 times in the 4 years they’ve been married. They have a child together, they’ve filed for bankruptcy twice now, and he recently started drinking and smoking pot after a lifetime of sobriety. I really want the best for the guy and he tells me he’s never been happier, but it doesn’t take a genius to see that he’s in complete denial. His dad recently stopped by their apartment only to find the infant out in the living room by himself while his wife was in the room screwing a random dude. The absurdity of the situation really is amazing. It really makes me question if I’m living in an alternate dimension.

I worked with a gal who was "poly" and could not stop telling you about it. She was also into BDSM and of course, at least 3-4 times a week you'd hear "sticks and stones may break my bones, but whips and chains excite me."
