Family questions police findings in case of Utah woman's found remains, seeks new leads

While police said there was no suspected foul play, the family of a woman whose remains were found in May 2024 said they believe there is more to the woman's loss.
Authorities confirmed that the remains of Courtney Townsend, the missing Washington City woman whose case captured the community’s attention for over a year, were so minimal they could fit inside a shoebox.
The Kane County Sheriff’s Office, who has been leading the investigation alongside the St. George Police Department, stated that they have yet to determine the cause of death. They are maintaining that there is no evidence of foul play.
