I was trying to check SWR with the Cobra 29s meter but it won't move the needle to the calibration mark. It stops around 3.

What is the benefit of having the external SWR meter? Is it more accurate than a Cobra 29 NW LTD Classic's built-in SWR meter?

Both my needles on CAL Channel One + 40 are exactly the same . But when I key the mic on slwr it goes halfway into the green if I key the mic in SRF it is in the red . When I am talking what setting should this be on with this dial srf or swr or cal. I have already got off a few pieces on the antenna please

I reckon its better to leave the metre inline all the time so then u can check the swr whenever u want rather than having to hook the metre up all the time

I have an issue with mh 27 mhz raido. My swr is good. But i cant figure this problem. At night the neddle on the dial sits right up around seven. I can barley hear any one and they cat hear me good. But during the day is fine. I was told i need to earth the antenna wich i have done but no change. During the day the neddle sits low and all is good i can hear people properly when they are talking and they can hear me. This only happens at night and i know that this is not ment to happen can someone please help me fix this problem. I have a pearce simpson super tiger and a uniden president grant and this happens on both of them. Its annoying because i just want chat with my 27 mhz buddies and some skip but cant because this happens. If anyone could help me with this id be very greatful thank you.
