Thanks bro, got a 29 in my new truck, never used one before. This helps a lot. I bought a new antenna, we'll see if I paired it right. Running dump truck where I do, is hard to run longer whips

Mine is @ or just below one but sadly get antenna warning when trying to transmit. I have to get VR6 and VR7 adjusted. I will let a CB shop do that. I want to get a different backlight anyway

This is NOT how to tune your radio. You don't tune the radio, you tune the antenna. This is how you check the swr's on your antenna. And you check swr's at 40 and 1 for a reason.
