How to Tie a Fisherman's Knot

Welcome to my channel How to Knot and in this video, I will be showing you how to tie a fisherman’s knot. This knot is typically used in climbing, camping, and fishing. This is formed from two identical overhand knots which pull against either other and both working ends will be in opposite directions. It should only be used for ropes of the same diameter, is strong, compact, and does not slip. However it can slip on slippery rope materials and can jam making it hard to untie.

First start by creating an overhand knot in the working end of the one rope.

Insert the working end of the other rope through the overhand knot.

Tie another overhand knot.

Tighten and dress accordingly.

I really wish I could’ve followed along. But she went too fast and didn’t stop between steps so that I could see what it look like. I’m trying to present this in a wedding ceremony and can’t find anybody that can show me easily.
