Dad's favorite fishing knot

I been using my Dad's knot he showed me 30years ago but I've added my own on top of his knot and I'll guarantee it's one of the strongest knot's ever!! Love fishing nothing like it!

Taught myself how to fish by talking to other fisherman and YouTube for the most part, but I do remember my grandpa sending me a newspaper clipping of a bunch of different knots because he didn’t live in the same state as me so he could show me himself. RIP Grandpa Ray❤. Lifelong hobby I’ll always love.

Ah the improved clinch knot! Perfect for mono! Just remember to use the Palomar or other knot with braid, as braid has a tendency to slip out of this knot

I still use that knot all the time. There are stronger, better knots, but that one's good enough for most applications. Plus, I can tie it quickly... blindfolded.
