"The pick that Bosnian Bill and I made" makes a triumphant return in this LPL video.

Two phrases I enjoy hearing LPL say:

“The pick that Bosnian Bill and I made” and “I’m going to use my wave rake.”

When my colleague locked herself out of her office today with a lock so old that nobody knew the location of the key, I was able to save the day by single pin picking a four pin interior door lock. I gained major cred, as we are both criminal lawyers. Thanks LPL, I learned everything from watching you!

I just wanted to say that I am a big fan of the channel. After watching your videos, I started to learn a bit about locks, and recently I was able to save a lot of money fixing my car. I had to go to a junkyard, find an old door lock assembly, and essentially modify and rearrange the pins to work with my vehicle's original key. That cost me about $20 compared to over $500 from the dealership. Thanks!

You have to use two shims though, that makes it twice as secure as a Master Lock 😂

It is so easy to shim the upside down shackle flaw is actually a feature. It makes things look like they are locked up but you don’t have to deal with those annoying keys.

I've never tried to pick a lock, but have learnt to predict what kind of tools he'll use in many cases just by seeing the lock. Always brings some joy to get it right!

BosnianBill is who first got me into lock picking 10 years ago, and he's the one who suggested people watch LPL. Hearing LPL still give him credit all these years later is a true sign of his character. Especially since Bill left the scene a while ago.

Thanks for the years of entertainment and for being a solid dude LPL.

He's going to say it, isn't he?
He is, he'll say it . . .

HE SAID IT!!!

The more I watch the more my Dad's words ring true. "Locks are to keep honest people honest".
Love your videos, you do a great service to the masses. Just think of all those out there who may otherwise have bought very sub-par locks and had their stuff stolen. Bless you LPL, Bless you.

Locks like this remind me of the phrase my old scoutmaster's dad told us, "A lock isn't there to deter a thief, it's there to deter a good person from being a thief."

I haven't seen an adjustable shackle lock since the '70s. Yale made them a bit better. One shaft was long enough to crimp the end, so non of our Yales ever fell apart when unlocked. You simply had to swivel the lock body around to remove it. Ideal for young children to lock up their bikes back in the days when the only bike thieves were other young children who were very jealous, and didn't have LPLs' skills. That really brought back memories of my first bike and lock.

I was given that lock after I got the bike back from the jealous child who stole it. Never had a problem again. Memories.

I had a lock like this when I was a little kid. I remember one time being able to open it by simply pulling it apart. I only managed to do it the one time, and nobody believed me. I assumed I had some sort of magical one time hulk strength, but now I'm wondering if I just closed it wrong... The world may never know.

And the crowd goes wild!!! "The pick Bosnian Bill and I made"! No more anticipated phrase in all of lock picking!

My grandfather always said locks just keep honest people honest. Watching the LP here. Has reaffirmed that idea in my mind.

Ah it's so nice to see the Bosnian Bill pick back in action again!

As kids, some friends had adjustable shackle locks for our cheap bikes. They seemed OK for preteens and the easy pick feature assured the parents could open the lock up when needed.

I wish Bill a lot of happiness and health in retirement. I'm sorry for the loss of a friend. And thank you LockPickingLawyer and Bill for yours videos, which have inspired me so much that I buy locks and learn to pick them myself. Greetings from Chicago.

Q: Ah so what business are you in?
A: We sell mild deterrents that look like locks. 😁

Thanks to this channel I really learned a lot about locks. I knew the padlock can be shimmed, right after you showed what happens when you put it upsde down. I was proud of myself. Thank you LPL!
