The timing of this video is kismet. I bought this tool last week from you to work on a pistol safe. Struggled for two days. This pops up, and I had it open almost as fast as you with the Brinks.

about 30 years ago i used to help fill vending machines and quickly learned how to open them with a bic pen when we lost the keys do to a hospitalized employee for a few weeks. that taught me that locks are just puzzles

Reminds me a a previous life chapter. Decades ago, I worked campus security for a private university. Every few years we would do a sweep of the campus bike racks and clean out old abandoned bikes, that had been there for an extremely long time. I found it easier to use a Bic pen then to cut the lock. I used the pen housing and did the same twisting action. Most of the time I could open the lock within a few seconds. It was way easier than cutting the lock.

Seeing this video reinforces the idea that physical security can be just matter of perception, in many cases. This is a psychological padlock!

I was just re-watching the live action Cowboy bebop last night and thought it was hilarious that 100+ years in the future, the only lock crappy enough for a dog to bite through was still a Master lock. They have a relatively long lingering shot on the lock itself. Thought it was funny.
