DON'T LOOK At The Ball - The KEY To GREAT BALL Striking

Показать описание
Where you 'look' or place your focus can directly influence how you deliver your golf club to the ball, and when you are looking to improve both your iron swing and driver swing this becomes incredibly important.

It would make sense to simply look at the golf ball for all shots, and that can work for some, but for many changing where you look based on the club can be a game changer for strike and performance. many of the golfers that I have helped over the years have seen far better results when not looking at the golf ball, seems crazy but it really does work.

In this video I discuss a really important concept called the 'Swing Circle' and explain how this influences how to club approaches the ball, key for both iron play and driver.

Once you understand the swing circle you will be able to change your focus for each club giving you instantly better results and more consistency out on the course.

I can't believe I have to comment. But .... I took this to the range early today and amazed myself. By moving the focus of my contact to just in front of the ball and just below the turf, I finally started making that ball first contact that every video proclaims. Several months ago I paid to get my distances from Trackman. My 46 degree Titleist pitching wedge distance was 110 yds, today I carried 125 yds multiple times with good direction and less effort. I honestly did not want to try this as I figured I would just bury the club face into the ground but surprisingly that did not happen. I'm playing a round on Monday and can't wait to see what happens. Thank you for this video!

One of your best videos. When it goes to split screen it could do with slow motion so you can watch in more detail. But the set you done with the hands at the club head explains how to do it. Well done again Chris.

I used to do this a year ago when I first started playing. I don’t know why I ever stopped but this is a great tip, I just went out and tried it on my lunch break and it is fantastic! I need to try it on my fairway woods tomorrow!!!

Great video Chris, thank you. I started doing similar with my driver and it has definitely improved that aspect. However, no matter what I do with irons, I still have a tendency to catch them fat to some degree!

I have found this channel to provide the most practical solutions to swing issues. He pulled me out of a month long slump of hitting high balloon slices that I just could not shake. I tried everything until I found Chris. It was the clap to get the head square that saved me.

Great vid chris. I started looking 1/2 inches ahead of ball with irons to stop the shanks, it really improved my stroke location. Never thought to imagine it lower in ground, makes sense though!

Great vid! Tx CR.
I was given this tip and a similar drill years ago - " The ball is not the target." I went from a 13 index to 4 in less than a season. It is also an excellent way to ensure clean contact from a fairway bunker. Cheers!

I really relate to this and looking forward to trying it out at the range. Many thanks for this video.

OMG I love this video! I was stoked when you said rahm does this cuz that’s what’s kinda fixed my driving ! He can’t get the club head square at impact, so instead he gets the club where it won’t square up, and then puts the ball ahead of that so that by the time the club reaches the ball, it’s square. These two tips have made so much more consistent ball striking for me it’s becoming easy… PLZ try this if you haven’t. Yes it’s hard not look at the ball, but once you’ve focused hard enough on this, it will become easy

I had a terrible problem fading the ball a lot when I first started golfing. My instructor told me the same to set up the driver club had a good 6 inches behind the ball. That is my normal set up to this day. It pretty much immediately fixed my slicing and fading problem.

Going to the range today to try the driver tip. My irons are typically very solid, but I struggle to hit a draw. My stock shot is a slight fade, which works fine for most holes, but there are three holes on my home course that require a draw off the tee...and I rarely pull it off. Hopefully, your tip will be a game changer.

Chris, what about Hybrids and Woods? Do you recommend looking ahead if the ball with them as well?? Thanks

Great tip well explained Chris. This is exactly my golf. Good with driver one week, then good with irons the next, but rarely together!

I worked on my wedges yesterday at the range and did this and it works. I stopped looking at the ball. So simple!

I like this, i often advise my daughter not to focus on the ball, these tips will give her something to work towards. I do place my driver about 4 inches behind the ball at address but i look at the ball! I will now try to 'focus' on my driver clubhead starting position. Is this correct?
Where should you focus for hybrids and fairway woods? Similar to irons?

Chris without knowing this I started to do this some months ago and results are awesome my compression on my irons is very good need at least one iron less and great ball flight (and less influence of wind due to compression) ps thos works up ro 3 wood with my driver I still have some problems probably because my focus is not that far behind thnx for that didnt know about Jon but as I am living in Spain the Spaniards must love this story thnx this tip is really working
