I love how all the answers to, "Can TPM 2 be used to enforce DRM?" and "can TPM 2 be used by the government as a backdoor into your system" only has the answer of, "TPM 2 has never been used for that purpose and is not going to be used for that purpose."

Okay, so it is possible, but it isn't being used (right now) for those purposes. Very reassuring.

If you have a custom AMD Ryzen build, the tpm is already built in. You also may have a custom slot for a tpm module on the motherboard as well. Make sure you read up on your motherboard

Using the TPM Chips communication to decrypt bitlocker is fairly easy and just takes a couple of minutes.( If you dont have to enter a bitlocker passphras on boot)

You can apparently still install windows 11 via an image without the need of a tpm compatible CPU, just found that out!

TPM is hardware backdoor. Read the Dolos Group report on TPM.

you don't have to upgrade your motherboard if you have a port that says tpm you just need to buy a tpm 2.0 module.

If reseting my pc/laptop for a fresh start (removing all data like new) I was given the option to delete my existing tpm or not to.. what should I be choosing? What will be affected?
