An easy way to keep pets healthy is to give them all the dry food they could ever eat and give them one serving of wet food a day, in a month or two they will not value the dry food and only eat it when actually hungry but still get enrichment by the wet food

My boy is moderately overweight. He seriously tries to hurt me if I don't feed him so often, so I have a lot of scars from Hangry Bro mauling me making him stick to his diet. My cat weights 22ibs (10km) and he's 9 years old... took him for a checkup and he had his health as a 4 year old... the trick is to share lots of love and treat them as one (especially for the main owner).. if you're cat isn't around other animals and are kept within their territory, there's no reason for them not to reach the age of 18... feed them real food (and that applies for the owner too) if the cat feels loved he will work his magic and without stress /unsafe environment he will naturally heal by purring... truth is many owners cant take care of themselves nor their children... (he got castrated by his past owners and his metabolism slowed down (STOP CUTTING THEIR BALLS)
