This is all good information. I am 38 and was put on nuva ring. At 37 I felt in a funk and started having GI issues similar to IBS, extreme cravings, then nausea issues started happening regularly when I was ovulation and right before the period. The nausea became so severe and debilitating that I could no longer work or take care of my kids or function at all. It was at first just 2-5 brutal days through the cycle so I dealt with it, but I started losing a lot of weight and became skeletal. I was very scared and thought I would have to check into a hospital and need a feeding tube. I have had insomnia as well, and I was having severe anxiety and panic attacks and heart palpitations through this moment of total chaos of fluctuations and hormonal imbalance. I basically developed severe pms which I never had before, but I never imagined could I be in perimenopause beginning already?! It seemed like clockwork it all began with the decline of fertility at 37 and by 38, I was full blown nauseated the whole cycle pretty much! I could not imagine living that way with chronic nausea. I am traumatized by it all. I went from 90 lbs to 70 lbs. I felt totally helpless, and birth control has saved me!! The adjustment has been rough, but I am doing so much better. I plan to be on it til I am in menopause.
