Positioning is more important than ever. The lack of shields and the emphasis on dueling other low health targets makes it a lot more fast paced.

Tip 6: leave your healers and spam need heal, they will always rush to you and pocket you forever.

Bro I’ve been looking at overwatch 2 videos because I’m a new player and I stumbled on your content. I swore you had hundreds of thousands of subs due to how well put together all your vids are! Just now found out that you’re a smaller YouTuber. Keep up the amazing work! Subscribed!

Great vid. I would also add, get to know every map inside and out. Learning flank routes and health pack locations is essential. Use the ping system and comms. Making the team aware of things they might not have noticed will allow you to be prepared before an engagement. Develop an enemy ult timer in your head and be ready to avoid or counter it. Get a good headset. Audio is important in all shooters and helps map awareness. Keep track of the kill feed. Theres a setting that gives you an audio alert upon an enemy and teamate death. It will help you to decide weather to push or back off and re group.

Think the most important thing is knowing what it is that your character wants to do. Perhaps it sounds like it goes without saying but specially with so many new players, I've been seeing quite a lot of Tracers staying grouped butting heads with the tank and hogging healing, and Soujorns going all spec ops getting their healers scrambling to go help.

been playing fps for over 10 years, and the myth that sensitivity matters outside of preference is hilarious to me. I knew a guy who played Competitive TF2, as a scout main (Similar to Tracer) with a 26inch/360. And he was insanely good. I also knew sniper mains with 4inch/360s, the point is, it's all preference as long as you LIKE your sens, thats all that matters.

Every sens has shortcomings, and has to be worked around. Please don't change your sens unless you are trying to find your preferred sensitivity, and once you find it: DON'T CHANGE IT. The longer you play with one sensitivity, the more accustomed to it you'll get, and your aim will improve naturally due to muscle memory. Every time you change your sens, you are re-writing muscle memory, short term it may work, but it will affect you. - Someone who changed their sens every 2 weeks for 3 years because my aim was "off"

“A lot of DPS will engage long after, or even before their team engages, then the DPS will die, and scream at the supports for not healing them even though they have Ana and Zenyatta on their team and they’re both still making their way from spawn.”
I think that’s what you meant to say.

Understanding matchups is soooo important. Im a new player and only started playing OW2 when it came out a few days ago. I've had played OW 1 but only for a couple of hours since no one in my server spoke English so it was very weird for me to play.

Anyway so I've been spamming Genji these few days trying to get good at him. (I still suck Q_Q)

This particular match as always I picked Genji without thinking much. The enemy team had Winston, Moira, Mercy, Pharah, Junkrat.
I couldnt really do anything to be honest. With the Genji spamming I learnt the hard way how horrible this matchup for me is. (Or i might just be bad).
I kept dying and feeding. But then I switched to soldier which I felt hard countered Mercy and Pharah pocket. I got 2 quadra kills and 12k damage. :D

Im really happy about that one

I didn't play Overwatch 1 at all, but stepping into Overwatch 2, I've seen several of your videos and they're all very well done. Subbed 👍

1. Work on your mechanics, not just your aim but your skill with your individual abilities.
2. Learn the matchups of your main.
3. Utilize your teammates and their presence. Abuse numbers advantage. Engage when your team engages.
4. Get value out of every single life. Provide sustainable pressure and punish mistakes.
5. Combo your ultimates with another teammate’s ultimates. Consistently doing this provides so much value.
6. Play towards your win condition. Invest your ultimate in the proper time in the team fight.

Impressive content man. New to the game coming from other FPS games so these guides are helping massively. Already feel like I’m frying! Just need to learn how to tank and heal now 😂

I need this vid because I literally started playing this week. I have already found a groove that fits my playstyle, and DPSes are a MYSTERY to me. I am SUFFERING trying to unlock Sojourn.

To give context, I main Fantasy games. Face tanking or otherwise being a very aggressive melee character is my main style in most games I play.

You can see where this is going.

If I am not playing Brigs, I'm playing Reinhardt. Speed and maneuverability is not my forte. I am aware that I can play a character like Widow, but it's tough. I will definitely be struggling for a while with the Sojourn challenge.

note to dps players: dont rush and peek alot when u KNOW ur healers are behind and out of range. dont just say "wow our sp is shit af" without even thinking about others. alot of dps players nowadays below diamond 5 thinks "im a dps, i should deal damage which is extremely important and nothing else matters" - well no point going dps if ur playing like a frontliner, no?

prioritize and take note of your positioning before cutting a slice forward. if u wanna dive, let the others KNOW first and wait until someone initiates.

FFA is good sometimes but I find myself in lobbies with 2 road hogs, a dva, sigma, doomfist, wrecking ball and overall just any tank u can think of.

I can carry as Ashe and have fun while doing it, but whenever I try another character like Tracer or Sombra, which are some of my favorite characters to play, I get destroyed
