I have had diabetes since 2004. At least that's when I was diagnosed.
Since watching what I eat and cutting out sugar altogether, I no longer need insulin injections and Metformin. Whereas before I was injecting myself with 18 units of insulin in the morning, 16 units at lunch, 18 units at dinner. I was also taking 2000 mg of Metformin. Thanks to you Dr. Berg I have discovered that Kale is one of the most healthiest foods I could possibly eat. I now have a Kale shake at least once a day with coconut oil and a hand full of mixed berries. I've also started to do a detoxing plan that cleanses my insides from top to bottom by simply drinking 1 ltr (1pt) of filtered water with 2 tbsn of sea salt. I then make a blend of all possible veggies I can find to make a smoothie. I also make my own milk Kefir to help with restoring probiotics in my gut. Through years of abuse I believe I obtained 'Leaky Gut Syndrome' which is on the mend by consuming good bacterial enzymes and bone broth. I still have long ways to go to good health but I believe along with your help and Gluten FREE recipes I can obtain my target.

You are an incredible teacher. Everything is always so simply put and understandable. I am 73 years old an I just love all your information. It is so valuable. I think there is something for everyone. What an incredible, caring person you are. I could add you to my own kids as another son. Your mom must be so proud of you. Keep teaching as we need this because you never learn anything like this from the medical profession.

Dr Berg I have a funny story for you. I'm laughing at the moment. My son, 15 years old, has autism and a huge appetite. His appetite got him into trouble. About two weeks ago he was diagnosed with diabetes. Me and my wife changed his diet to include more vegetables like broccoli, cucumber, tomatoes etc etc. A week after the diabetes was gone. My wife told me that at one point she was worried because she was running out of veggies to feed him. Hahaha! But the diabetes is gone. I think I understand why now. I'm beginning to believe that my diabetes can be fixed and I'm working on it. Thanks so much for providing this valuable information. Believe it or not I consider you an answer to a prayer I made when my son was diagnosed with diabetes.

DR BERG AND EVERYBODY! I have a very important information to say. I throw out 4 years from my life because i had magnesium deficiency. I took enough magnesium every day but nothing happened. I had mineral absorption problem because i didnt eat enough fiber and the enterocytes didnt have the fuel to work and absorb minerals. After I started eating inulin(a kind of fiber) the magnesium absorbed. And now I'm happy.

My story is the same as lots of folks on this channel. I was a terrible diabetic, I had no clue how to deal with it either. I am from the south where you eat everything fried and sweets as often as possible. I was taking 25 units of Novolog in the am 25 in the afternoon and 15 units of Lantus at bedtime. In addition to that 2000mg of Metformin. I started the Keto diet May 20th of this year. I have lost 60 pounds and have thrown all the diabetes meds away. My most recent A1C was 5.1. Now with this video I even found a new clue as to why I’m having a few hiccups now and then. I can’t thank you enough Dr. Berg. I feel better than I have in 25 years.

I swear it never gets old hearing you tell us how critical it is to consume 10 cups of vegetables daily. Thank you, Dr. Berg. I have been following your eating plan since the first week of June 2016. My insulin usage is down 75% and my endocrinologist said if I continue on my healthy eating, I may be able to eliminate all meds. Today was my wife's family's Christmas. Everything there was not good. The salad was made with Ramen noodles, the potatoes (white) were in a casserole with sour cream and cheese, they had a corn casserole made with cornbread, The broccoli casserole had crackers on top, the meat (ham and turkey) were both sugar glazed. The only thing that was safe were green beans with bacon. To be polite, I took a small amount of everything, focusing on the green beans and the salad. I really blew it and had three Christmas cookies for dessert. I felt my sugar going "TILT". When we got home, I tested my sugar. It was 119. I was blown away. I don't do sugar anymore. But it's comforting to know that my body is beginning to be able to handle a one time thing like this. (By the way, when I got home, I made up by eating my 10 cups of salad with a couple slices of your new grain free bread. My body was very happy.) Thank you, again for all you are teaching and coaching us. You are quite the blessing!

You hit the nail on the head. I deal with hypercalcemia, bone spurring, diabetes, I've taken magnesium for years, have deficiency, having eye lid spasms or on face, I've also taken potassium. How do I know I am absorbing these minerals properly. I've turned folks on to magnesium and they love it. There is a book called The Magnesium Miracle. Loved it.

It is good to hear your lectures on youtube. I greatly appreciate your ability to simplify what most doctors are not willing to learn or teach ....but I must say, one thing I would really like in your great lectures is a clear shot, of the board you display so that I can pause the video, and take notes of what you have written. This way I can listen to the lecture, and at the beganing or the end of the video, I can take my notes in great detail. I'm doing well having reversed my diabetes and my hypertension but still much more to learn.
I thank you for your clear understanding of how to keep your body in good health and well being. It is much appreciated .

It is critical to get your levels tested first. I just got out of critical care because my potassium was 7.5, which is is way too high. Magnesium and calcium were also way too high. Know your baseline before following YouTube advice. As much as I respect Dr. Berg, I have just learned a hard and important lesson. Know my numbers and work with a doctor. On the up side, my A1C has gone from 9.4 to 7.2 in 6 months.

My doctor told me I was pre diabetic a year ago I am now down 70 pounds and off my blood pressure medication and he and now no carb no sugar came to life style and I feel great
