It works but you have to connect the phone with a USB cable to a PC be fore you start. Without the USB cable connection to a PC it wont work.

OMG!! I literally went thru 20 other videos. Yours was the very last one I was going to try and give up... I noticed that yours was a little different. It had to be shut off while connected then the power volume up. That sequence was critical and saved me.

When I try this a warning about a custom os and won't let me go to the part where I need to factory reset it was my uncle's phone and he passed away I am trying to use this as a daily phone

It did not work for me I have tried it over 10 times and nothing the phone will just automatically turn on without showing factory reset

Interestingly enough, resetting the data does not remove the "too little storage space" warning if you happened to somehow have achieved full storage usage on your device
It still reset fine afterwards though, so it's likely just not updating the warning after the reset procedure
