There is a new issue as of the 11th June that all is green yet you can't see other players... No fix for this right now, you can however join a friend's game or go to multiplayer and join a game.

Solution: (worked for me for Series X)
1st: Guide button > go down to highlight NMS > press 3 lines button > Quit
2nd: Guide button > Profile & System > Power > Restart Console
3rd: Once system is back on and connected to internet and profile is finished loading, join a multiplayer session of a completely different game before touching NMS. (GTA Online was what I loaded into.) Saw that other people were in fact in the session with me in GTA and I only spent a few minutes before saving and Quitting out of the game.
4th: Load up NMS.

Worked for me. Hope this helps.

I have an issue where online discovery services are active, but no connection to matchmaking services 😕

Playing on xbox trying to do multi-player, but my save file is grey out...made a new game in a friends world, saved and reloaded, and now that file shows grey too.. both are in normal mode and match 🤦

Yesterday, a friend and I were grouped up then got disconnected. My “Online Discovery Services” are green and active but there are no other players in the space anomaly as there were yesterday and the network tab under options is completely gone. Any fixes for this?

Update: My Xbox live had run out and online services stopped working without a notification. Had to update my subscription and it fixed it.

Yeah I’m getting the problem where it’s green for me, multiplayer is on but still don’t see a sole in Nexus (on normal mode). Noticed is June 11 late at night and just assumed it was a quick bug but seems to be a bigger issue there.

A little note I thought I might add as I had this problem on PS4, all my network settings were correct yet no players were turning up and I couldn't get my friend code to appear, turns out I hadn't payed my PSPLUS so multilayer was not possible no matter what my setting were. Hope this helps anyone who had this problem and couldn't find an answer.

No Man Sky has some of the worst online support in gaming.
Their Zendesk Support is completly useless.
Multiplayer option missing bug is still there.

Hmm. Anyone else noticing a pattern of increased reliability of the discovery servers for more and more elements of the game? Are HG slowly making themselves platform independent I wonder? Will we all end up in the same universe with unified discoveries and minimal reliance upon third party multiplayer servers?

I go to anomaly and it starts to lag badly every 10 sec, I think it tries to connect and than fails. all services are green and connected for me, even joining a friend i cant see him

Lol just checked this after going into the anomaly, place is scarce, my settings are fine yet I did the event mission and joined another 3 random people and could see them. Haven't bumped into anyone else after completing the mission and returning to the anomaly

FOR PC DELETE the mxml files inside binaries/settings in the game folder directory. instant fix

There is no multiplayer option on my game on Xbox series x. The network menu option is gone as well.
