I’m not devastated about edu leaving for. It’s more so whether we get the right replacement and whether it would cause disharmony at board level

There’s three ways to look at this and whether it’s a good thing or not will depend on these;

1. He isn’t happy with the money made available by owners and has decided to step down because he can’t provide Arteta with the squad necessary to cross the finish line. In this case, it’s bad.

2. Money has been made available but his relationships and transfer negotiation skills have meant we missed out on primary targets e.g Sesko. (This is more likely) and with this, it’s good and the the focus has to be on who comes in next.

3. Finally, he could just have been tempted by a better proposal. It’s a sad option but it’s what happens in the football world. This scenario is indifferent because it depends on who becomes the next director and whether they can complete the squad to get us across the finish line.

Harry I have to say that in my opinion you’re probably the most professional sounding Arsenal content creator out there. Well done and I hope your channel continues to grow.

Thank's God maybe we'll be able to buy best 2 or 3 players who can do the best job and take us to the top, it's still very early and January is just around the corner, if we could get at least Kudus, Viktor G or Semenyo.

The one advantage over other directors of football that we were told edu had was his connections to the South American market. The only player we got from there was Marquinios and he didn't do much. So Edu's connections didn't really amount to anything in that respect.

The club comes first before any employee. Let's not start getting emotional and move on

GOOD RIDDANCE! All he did every transfer window was play on his barbecue. That’s why all we were left with was rubbish players like Mustafi and Willian

The improvement was real simple. Get rid of the amateur defenders. Edu has been decent, not great or outstanding... and the last window was catastrophic in terms of going for the league title

What blows my mind is, if us fans without as much football knowledge as Edu and Arteta can see the glaring areas in the team that needs improvement. Why can’t Edu and Arteta?

what i dont understand about this is, why now? i can understand at the end of the season or even when the january transfer window closes. obviously the most important thing now is they find a replacement that has or more connections than edu has

It was Mikel's influence that has led to this, I believe. The performance at Newcastle might have fueled this. If you watch closely, Arteta has not been his usual animated self on the touchline this season. He is definitely not happy with his squad. He really wants to win but the club was not supportive over the summer, and I believe Edu was instrumental to that. We were in for Sesko. When that could not materialize it's obvious the club should have gone for other attacking options but strangely, everything became quiet in that front. Arteta deserves a sporting director who can match his ambition, and Edu is not exactly that IMO.

Where are all the Brazillian signings Edu was supposed to sign? Change is sometimes good.

It's because the kronek's have done exactly what they did when they first bought the club they have got players to get us into top 4 and that's all they need they refused to spend 51m in one go for zubimendi what kronek's wanted was pay in instalments.
He would have replaced Party in midfield Edu can't work in those surcomstanes Gasdias could all he did was asset stripping for the kronek's.
Kronek's out we will never win the league or the champions league in the next 20 years with them owning the club.
The kronek's are richer than roman obamervich for fuck sake.

It's a blow but not the end of the world either. Sporting director rolls at clubs tend to change a lot. Whats important is that we get the right person to replace him and move forward

Harry
Love your channel, and the Gunners have done better in recent years .
But how much better could we have done with better sporting director, when one door closes another opens .
Because Edu was a good player and in your words “ A charmer “ doesn’t mean in business terms he is cutting edge .
Let’s see 👍
