Who tf cares what Gary Neville thinks?! He’s not an oracle or the messiah or the fountain of all football wisdom… goodness me!

Arsenal fan here. While it 100% is a blow due to his legacy at the club, it is actually a positive move for the overal direction of Arsenal F.C.- Edu did very well considering he strengthened our defence and midfield with the likes of Saliba, Gabby, then onto Rice and Ode. This made us title contenders again, only falling short at the last hurdle last year, and the season before throwing it away the last few games. Edu has been brilliant for his lack of experience, but he didn't fix our key issue, he didn't get us a top striker. Listen, Havertz has improved so much, but you can't hang your hat on an attacking midfielder turned CF, and expect 25 plus goals per season! Jesus has not worked out at all for us. Decent player, but not good enough to start for a team near the top of the table.

I think Arsenal will now focus on bringing in a SD with vast knowledge. Someone who can give their experience on how to sign the correct players, and use his contacts to bring in the top players we need to push for the league. Hopefully sign a top striker in Jan!

All in all, thank you Edu, and I wish you all the best on your future mission!

I think the blow is more sentimental. He’s a big part of Arsenals family, and has great chemistry with the team and Arteta he shares the DNA.

However I can see Arsenal moving smartly and bringing in someone oversee Arsenals bigger ambitions.

A big blow? Not really. Edu’s departure actually gives Arsenal the opportunity to bring in a sporting director who can build the team more strategically rather than relying on rejected players from other clubs. While he’ll be missed, I believe this change could lead to real improvement for the team.

One FA Cup, zero european cups or league titles and still waiting for that striker. Cheers Edu 👋

Edu ain’t daft, he talked the club into spending shed loads, twice second, can see gooners now flopping big time, jumps ship. Perfect timing ⏱️

The guy always struggled to get complex deals over the line. Unless they were negotiating with a friend agent of his or another Prem team, Edu was poor. Mudryk and Raphinha prime examples. Why was he bringing in rejects so easily?

Josh Kroenke is capable of finding a better replacement. Is not really that Arsenal have achieved anything with him as sports chief.

Brazilian press are covering a story this morning that Edu is under investigation for transfer dealings with Brazilian players.

The 2 deals they quote are Marquinhos and Willian deals but is more to be confirmed.

What era? When did Arsenal have some era that we all skipped? They should be fighting for the Carabao cups with Southampton and Werewolves

They can freshen things up. It's not like David Dein leaving who oversaw a lot of success and a stadium move. Edu has helped Arsenal move from 5th to 8th to 2nd without any cup finals. This is the guy who bought players like Lokonga and Nuno Tavares. Some of the signings have been decent like Odegaard but quite a few have been poor.

I’m glad I think arsenal now at a stage where we need someone who brings players that are ready instead of being the next Brazilian wonder kid

Depends who they replace him with! No worries, get someone solid with a vision to recruit well, develop youth and keep the positive vibe with support going.

Edu’s start at Arsenal wasn’t great brought in loads of sub standard players who was managed by his agent mate. Led to fans in the emirates not being happy with him. Remember he gave one fan the middle finger. Tho things did improve

He did f..k all F..K all… for two years even Stevie Wonder have seen that Arsenal need a proper striker… but he rather did obscurial deals for Jorginho, Havertz and Sterling…

No he hasn't, he messed up the Mudryk deal (thankfully he did) however he was our main target that year and we failed in getting him.

He has not brought in a forward for the past 3 seasons when we have been desperate for one.

And he never ever strengthens us during January.

Let's be real here. He done wonders but he has more failures than successful transfers. Anyone who disagrees is deluded.

The only big blow is you guys blowing it up. Doesn’t affect the team on the field this season.
