We took some sheets, tied them together, and made a rope out of them. The total length was about 15 feet. That should be enough, since the house was about 20 feet up. Then we took a rope made from sheets and tied it tightly to the massive wooden bed. I dressed warmly and was ready to go down. Allison and I were a little nervous, but we had no other choice. I unlatched the latch and swung open the wooden door in the floor. It was very cold outside. I threw the rope down, checked again how firmly it was tied, and gradually hung on it. Yes! It held me, that was already a victory! I slowly descended. After about a minute, I reached the end of the rope. There were still about 10 feet to the ground, Allison and I miscalculated a little. The height was not critical, but still needed to jump. I couldn't decide to do it right away, but the snow flakes were flying in my face, I couldn't see anything, and I wanted to do it as soon as possible. I jumped down, the snow softened the fall, and it turned out to be quite easy. I then yelled at Allison to throw me a shovel down to dig up the stairs. She did so and I started digging. There was a lot of snow. After about 10 minutes the shovel hit something hard, it was a ladder, I found it. I was so happy I started digging faster, but suddenly I heard Allison scream. At first I didn't understand what she was shouting, but when I heard the word "wolves" in her words, I understood what she was trying to tell me. I looked back, and when I saw two wolves behind me, a cold sweat ran down my body. At that moment I became scared. " To be continued...
