The father has too much pride and hurt as a man. Both parents are at fault but the disrespect I definitely couldn’t do to my parent! If he was in his other children’s lives I felt he would have been in hers but we never really heard why he didn’t go back to try. But you hug a stranger but you couldn’t hug your father because he wanted to! Both the daughter and father is stubborn with pride. You honor your mother and father!!
