It's a sad situation in the time lost. Mom did the best she could as a young woman alone. She harbored no ill against him, she just wasn't sure & followed poor advice as a young woman. Later, She did try to find him to let him know it was a possibility because she didn't know if it was fact & wanted them to confirm together before telling Cassandra. She didn't blurt out unfounded "facts" to her daughter, she acted to protect her. Now, There are 2 loving parents here who did their best & will continue to do so. What a beautiful reunion.
