The difference between survival and nutrition here is just shocking. To think that some people actually have to make this choice every week is appalling in a modern society.

Please be kind in the comments. There are people who can only afford £5 a week. Count your lucky stars if you can be picky with your food. Please be kind💖

Red milk? 🤮 Might as well just use tap water and spend that £1.20 on a bag of apples

You get what you pay for. All I have to say to that.

Much better to switch out the milk and cereal, stick to toast for breakfast. Frees up some money for some tinned fruit, frozen veggies. Fun for a hypothetical challenge. Pathetic that our country is one of the richest in the world but is all too happy to concentrate it's wealth to a very very small percentage and have the rest suffer.

£5 just not doable these days. You can get by with a £10 shop

Try it when you're gluten & lactose intolerant. You'll only be able to buy 2 items. 3 if you're lucky

Even on welfare you can afford more shopping then that and pay basic rent and bills unless you are paying debts and loans which is stupid to have to do. Or unless you are spending money on things you shouldn't be spending it on.. Pay rent electricity and food welfare covers all that. And don't bother @me I'm on welfare I'm doing it I don't spend what I don't have I don't borrow money I pay all my bills and I eat very well and very healthy.
