The fun part of the cosmic entities bit is the Galactus Engine (as it was called) was so massive that 616 Galactus was a spec next to its face. It was tearing through him and a small army of Celestials on its own, and it was later stated (by Silver Surfer if I remember) to just be a vanguard for the Cancerverse's cosmic entities, and that there were others much larger and vastly more powerful trying to force their way into 616.

Immortality is a self explanatory word, you can't die by anything. In a universe like cancer-verse, it shows the concequence of having no death. Life and death is like a balance, just like light and darkness, when one is removed, the other tips down and corrupts itself in various and horrific ways.
