Use it on a dissenter, bury them, wait a bit so you can gain a lot of Faith, and then revive them.

Im pretty sure Valefar once wanted me to prank one of my followers. He wanted me to make a poop dish and feed it to him. Me being new to the game i made a deadly dish and fed it to my follower. After seeing the quest wasnt completed i did another one but my FIRST follower ate it. So i made another one. And he finally ate it and the quest still wasnt complete. Then i checked my recipes and found "Bowl of Poop". Almost killed 2 of my followers.

It would be very useful if you could choose who eats the Deadly Dish instead of someone else rushing in to eat it in their place.

There is dish that has a 100% percent chance to stop someone from desenting. Also prisons are very cheap. But i have used it on an old follower once or twice while my rituals were on cool down

Once i acsdentely made two and two followers who i liked ate them. They both survived

If you kill someone with "Butcher" and someone sees you you lose 40 fate
But if you feed a follower Deadly Dish it counts as "Natural Death"

Today I made a deadly dish to feed to a dissenter and my first ever follower ate it. I’ve never been so scared since I hadn’t saved in a while and he actually survived I think the cotl gods were on my side

I use deadly dish pretty efficiently I would say ^^
I mainly use them at night, catching dissenters or spies

I used it on a dissenter and they survived 2 deadly dishes and then they died to the third one

I used it to deal with a spy once because my rituals that could deal with the situation were on cooldown and I didn’t know if a prison would work to keep them from leaving with all my stuff.

Just use brainwash and you don't have to worry about dissenters at all. There will be one or two follower quest with dissenters who want to join but that's all.
