Converting Aloe Vera to Hydroponics

Hey Guys

So this is a Aloe Vera Pup that I got from my friend's Aloe. I gift them to my friends. This one was living the life in the city. But alas winter has come and it can not stay out doors any more. So back in a pot he goes. He's the first experimental aloe and if it works I'll convert mine over as well

Yea love for the aloe. I'd call it a humble plant but it's actually rather out going and is a bit of a celebrity for it's healing powers.

Cool idea! Usually I just grow mine in universal or cactus and succulent mix. They grow almost effortlessly so I really ended up with a crazy amount! 4 FULL large containers! So when i announced depopulation time I was almost picked clean haha only have 2 large ones, a smaller one and 2 pups. I never really considered changing the method, but I think I'll give it a try once a get around to buying some semi hydro stuff. First I need to get some grit mixes, some pumice and bonsai mixes to play with Hehe. Can't wait to see what happens with yours though, so will use this as a guide of what the expect roughly ;-)

What did you fill the container with. That’s the most important part

That is a great idea! I would like to try it with some of my cacti and succulent too! How is it doing now? Looking forward to your updates.

Poor thing, but now he has a good home. I could do with some of that gravel :) Faith xo
