Das hätte einer der genialsten Horrorfilme werden können. Leider ist er "verschwunden" und aufgetaucht ist the Devils Pass, welcher dann leider komplette Kacke geworden ist...

The tent they were in was cut from the inside. One of the women's tongue was cut from her mouth. They were all found wearing very little wearing socks or barefooted. One of men injuries were as if he was hit by a car at high speeds but had no injuries outside his body. Three of the bodies were found as if running back to their camp. This is the weirdest cases ever and the Russian government tried to cover this up.

The movie was never released!
WHY!? Russians payed much money to the creator to make a new movie called "The Devils Pass"
and keep the real one in secret! TRUE STORY

I did some research too. Apparently it's in production. Simon Fellows is directing and it has a tentative release date in 2013.

one of the most accepted theories is the infrasound effect. Its the most plausible and probable. I have read the notes on the deaths of these nine hikers and where does it say there eyes were gauged out???

The documentory also said they found a note saying something like: "We now know for a fact that the Yeti DOES exist". Is that in the Diary aswell?

2 most popular explanations: 1) they entered a sacred territory for local tribes (mention by many people here) then the fact of murder was hidden - very popular theory and not groundless. 2) some electro magnetic noise in the mountains causes attacks of horror (I heard a few similar stories from soviet soldiers who took part in war in Afghanistan and I actually heard the theory itself not once)

How could You explain that two of them were thrown away a hundred meters by the hand of unknown force? The investigators have proved that this force isn't the men's action. And i'd like to draw Your attention to the fact that the skulls of two hikers were squeezed inside - it's absolutely impossible for men to commit.

Can't find anything much by Rakitin, only the odd mention here and there, but no full text to translate?

I cant find any info on this movie what so ever. Has it been scrapped? is the trailer even genuine?

They had no damage to soft tissue. A big animal would have cut their flesh or skin. One of the women was missing her tongue. I think those two details are the creepiest parts.

By my opinion they have seen light, heard scary sounds or felt the extreme heat; it could be also "psychic weapon" by an unknown force. 3. they ran down the hill, dispersed/separated and almost naked in -30 degrees Celsius.. Which means that they were running for their lives. You run when animals hunt you; you disperse from your group. Btw, this was a very high radiation. Those who survived have had cutting clothes from dead friends and wearing them.

Is this a fan made teaser? Because the film is said to be directed by 'Cliffhanger' director Renny Harlin.

I will tell you how it was. 1. There were no "animals" at that time important (no traces). One of hikers described in his diary before his death that "now we finally know that Snow man exists" - which means that they "saw" some creature in the mountain, in the snow. 2. they did not open up the tent, because they were in a hurry, panic. Why? We will never know. Their tent was found covered with snow, which could be caused by a "little avalanche", they were not on a some extremely slanted hill.

I just ask, because you have text "2 months later" in video and "2 week later" in description

@Mortihead the incident happened in darkness when they were already in their tent - sleeping (at 16:00 ?)
My view: Then suddenly they felt something was moving their tent and realized that avalanche might be approaching. Some of men quickly opened their tent with knife and they ran down the hill in panic and gathered near an old tall pine tree where they tried to observe their tent which was on the hill . Then something surrounded them - it seems that something not from this world

This did happen in February, 1959, in the mountains of Russia. When the 9 skier/hikers were overdo, they sent out Soviet military helicopters to find them. Their tent was found cut open from the inside. All of them had fled in nothing more than their socks and little more than underwear in sub-zero Russian winter weather. 2 had skull fractures. 2 had chest fractures. 1 of them women's tongue's was missing. They had high levels of radiation and had suffered from age progression. Look it up!!
