Dyatlov Pass incident is a mysterious and tragic event that occurred on February 2, 1959, in the Ural Mountains of Russia. A group of nine experienced hikers, led by 23-year-old Igor Dyatlov, set out on a winter expedition to the northern part of the mountain range. The group never returned and when search parties were sent out to look for them, they found the hikers' campsite abandoned and in disarray.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the hikers had fled their campsite in the middle of the night, leaving behind all of their warm clothing and equipment. Several of the hikers were found dead, some with severe injuries and others with no visible injuries at all. The fact the man was given a tangerine on his bday and shared it with his comrades speaks volumes of the type of men/women were in this trip.

The only survivor, Yuri Yudin, was often asked what he thought happened to his companions. He maintained until his death in 2013 that the Soviet military had to be involved in the deaths.

This is probably the most in-depth video I've watched on this subject, and hearing about the personalities of those involved makes this case 10x sadder

We may never know what happened to these fine young men and women. But this video spoils viewers with graphics and photos and the highest level of detail I've seen. Thank you for your work, VULDAR.

Where has this channel been hiding? A hidden gem. Great video I'm about to binge watch

The thing I can't rationalize. Something was dangerous enough that it prompted them to leave the tent without so much as getting boots on. But then they're walking calmly in single file?

The only reasons I can fathom leaving the tent in this fashion is either that there was immediate and imminent danger (i.e. they're afraid of a presumably real threat, so much so that they don't even think to even grab their boots) or they were forced to leave. Again, walking calmly in single file. That speaks to not afraid in my book

I do not agree with the Katabatic wind theory because: Katabatic winds can rush down elevated slopes at hurricane speeds, but most are not that intense and many are 10 knots (19 km/h; 12 mph) or less. IF this is the case they would not be able to stand up very well and walk calmly down a mountain. Also, Their items would have been strewn all over the place instead of being found neatly where they left them.

After reading many books and viewing many videos of this sad vent, this video was well researched, clear, concise, and added previously unknown details that I have not considered. Reasonably their is an outside interference that needs to be discovered that lead to the deaths of these young people. Only the dead know the truth, and sadly they are not talking.

In light of all the speculation surrounding what happened at Dyatlov Pass, the only survivor, Yuri Yudin, was often asked what he thought happened to his companions. He maintained until his death in 2013 that the Soviet military had to be involved in the deaths. Yudin believed his friends stumbled across a military exercise and that the Soviet government bore responsibility for the loss of his companions. He said that all his companions were expert hikers and skiers and were well equipped to handle natural phenomena like avalanches or snowstorms.

Yudin noted that after searchers found the campsite, the military was more concerned with what the skiers were doing in the area, not what had happened to them.

After searchers found the hikers, Yudin was asked to identify the items collected at the campsite. Yudin said some items did not belong to his fellow hikers, including glasses, a pair of skis, fragments of a ski, and a piece of cloth he identified as part of a soldier's coat. In a journal that Yudin kept all his research of the event in, which came to light after his death, Yudin referred to "soldiers' tape" and wrote he was confident it was among the items he was asked to identify. Yudin claims in his journal that he tried to bring this to the colonel's attention who was with him at the time, but he ignored it. Yudin speculated that before the official search found the hikers' campsite, the military had already been there and pointed to these items as proof.

Yudin also posed the rhetorical question: if something as mundane as an avalanche caused the death of his friends, why did the government close the case so quickly and mark it as classified?

Yudin also noted in his journal that there was one factor at the site of his friends' deaths that none of the "normal" suggestions could explain: the mild radioactivity of the clothes and bodies of the deceased hikers.

This is the absolute best video I’ve seen on this subject. It doesn’t leave one with no explanation at all like most others do. Has valid information on each victim and what they sustained individually. It’s very thorough. Good 👍 one here

I just started reading a book called Dead Mountain and right away there are several things that jump out at me. The first one is the much older man that joined their group at the last minute, Sasha. Nobody knew him and they only met him on the train headed for their hike. I also thought it was suspicious that one of the hikers left. He didn’t go back where they came from. Instead he went straight to his home village to visit his family. When the winter break ended and he got back to campus he didn’t even know that they were missing, supposedly. He was supposed to inform the hiking club that they would be three days late but he forgot. I find this very strange. Also, when the families started calling the hiking club it was discovered that either they never filed their hiking route plan or that it was lost. I don’t believe for a minute that they never filed their plan because these were very experienced hikers and at least two of them we’re hoping to attain level three certification. When the families started calling the hiking club that they belonged to they were told that the Director was out hiking with a group they wouldn’t be able to do anything until he came back. I think that’s also very strange.

Why would climb a tree to escape a phenomenon that hovers OVER you?

They went from the tent in the opposite direction from the lobaz (storage). From this, I conclude that ALL NINE PEOPLE could not have made such a mistake. Could not. Consequently, they were FORCED to go the other way. Someone did not allow them to go to lobaz.

It makes sense they didn't choose to walk down the mountain but someone force them to do so. No rush, walking in a line. Not allowed to take proper clothes. Looks like murder. Nobody knows what they did to them down the mountains.

Aside from my 'theory' comment, I would like to add that this video and all others I have watched so far, are incredibly well put together. Thank you VULDAR, I shall no doubt enjoy many more of your presentations. Excellent.

In this kind of cases where no one theory can explain all the events, there're two possibilities:
1. More than one independent event happened coincidentally.
2. Some basic assumption is in fact false.
