Grief is the remake of the 2015 version of slaughterhouse by icedcave, not to be mistaken for the sequel for the currently rated slaughterhouse. here are my thoughts on the level, now that @DoggieDasher is verifying it live on his youtube channel!

4:28 That’s where the original 2015 Slaughterhouse ended, but Grief was extended like how Bloodlust extended Bloodbath.
It was just left in as a callback to the original.

Honestly.. GRIEF is such a great remake of 2015 Slaughterhouse, and the grey part also fades in the new gameplay instead of the invisible grey wave spam, which is absolutely intense and the atmosphere really speaks.. "Getting Out of HELL."

Man i remember when I was 8 seeing the og slaughterhouse for the first time in a "tOP 20 iMPosIBlE lEVeLs !!1!1!!1!!" video. It was instantly my favorite because of the song. Seeing the new slaughterhouse I wondered if it had something to do with it but the song and the gp were way different. Seeing Grief now is such a nostalgia hit.

The part that plays at 7:01 matches the song the best of any in this level. The intensity feels just right. Is that just me?

The “random two-player section” was somewhere in the original Slaughterhouse. Also, I think the reason that part in the middle feels so much like an ending is because it is where 2015 Slaughterhouse ended, and the rest is an extension. With the exception of the in this case out of place two-player section.

I feel like nobody has really mentioned it, but the one thing that separates GrenadeOfTaco's part away from the rest (besides his signature design style) is those subtle flashes of rainbow glow on the top and bottom. I reiterate: the reason why a part in a RED level is memorable is the use of OTHER colors. Though I, personally don't make too much of a fuss about the "red hell levels", the inclusion of separate hues showed me the possibilities of looser color usage, and provided an explanation of why the hell level trope is so disliked. All the other parts are fantastic as standalone parts, and--if judging by the parts alone and not their contribution to the level as a whole--I can understand arguments made for other parts being "better" in a majority of aspects (other than color usage). But as a part of the level, GrenadeOfTaco's part is just pristine; the stand-out part of a great level.

i think the quiet song paired with the intense decor gives it a really weird mysterios feeling kind of. its like waiting for a jumpscare type of feeling which i like.

If you don’t know the story icedcave made an account and was really good he made challenges and other stuff he made a level called slaughterhouse which was impossible then got hacked, after that he made icedcave og and tried remaking it and failed numerous timings, after he made the one and only slaughterhouse we all know and grief is a remake to the original
