Dash cam footage shows fatal plane crash in Plano

Officials have identified the pilot, who died in the crash, as Elzie M. McDonald, from Arizona.

My Dad was 87 when he voluntarily stopped driving. He recognized that his reflexes and multitasking ability had diminished a lot in recent years. As his caregiver for the past decade, I've witnessed moments of confusion in him and even a few incidents where he simply passed out. Turned out his body chemistry had changed and his medication had to be adjusted. (That cured the issue, and he hasn't fainted in over three years). Bottom line is, although he is in generally good mental and physical health, he is an old man (now 91!) who has no business behind the wheel of a car or (God forbid) an airplane! My dad recognized that - thankfully before causing a vehicular accident. Unfortunately, some people put their ego/pride ahead of common sense - and their loved ones are too afraid to broach the subject. This video shows the typical result of that.

Stall spin. I would bet he tried to turn around and banked too sharply getting into an accelerated stall and it developed into a spin.

It's always sad. Truely.
Why do though, do you Americans constantly emphasise prayer? It didn't work before the crash and it's not gunna work now, nor anytime in the future! And if you were Arabic, you most likely be calling out yo Allah! Hindu, to some god. Very inconsistent.
It's way past time to get with the programme. It's 2024. Awful things happen.
