The much conflict part, but the motive for it should be different

And I’m pretty sure the next scene is anakin at padmes place and he senses that obi wan was there recently. And then later the dream he has, obi wan is in It, with padme. And that’s why the “you will not take her from me” makes more sense.

And let's not forget that this is just the culmination of an entire deleted subplot involving Padme attempting to preserve the Republic (along with helping to form the Rebel Alliance), and then directly petitioning Palpatine to give up his emergency powers. It's some great stuff, and it's a real shame that it was cut.

It's a great scene, but it would have changed the story a little to being against his wife rather than trying to save her by going to the dark side or going to the dark side for a different reason.

Why would Palpatine want to pit Anakin against his own wife when he knows she is able to be used as a catalyst to get closer to Palpatine ?

I guess they could’ve left it in. It’s just as shitty as the scenes that made it into the film
