Sad because most foreign members benefit groups the most because of their popularity and talent and definitely deserve to get paid the same.

Can understand why Lisa went and made her own label because one thing I don’t like is people messing up my money. However she’s also blessed to have obtained the global recognition she did while being in Blackpink. I hope it can work like that for more foreign idols

So many people are calling out Lisa for establishing her own label and not promoting in Korea, saying “she has changed” and calling her ungrateful. If she was paid less for equal work and faced a lot if criticism for being a foreigner, I don't blame her for being a western solo artist.

The language barrier shoudn’t be a problem tho, that implies that k-pop should ONLY stay in Korea and nowhere else around the world.

As a foreign fan some korean idols have problems like when on Instagram live some fans ask for them to speak English and some dont speak English and thats also a problem so a lot of foreign fans learn korean to understand more idols when they tend to speak sometimes Japanese and Chinese or any other Asain and this is not a racist thing or targeting to anyone a different face

There are only 3 countries that tax your overseas income. Eritrea, Myanmar and the US.

Aside from law and taxes,
I think companies require higher costing to train foreign idols as well, from giving them language classes and to also settling their work permit, plastic surgery procedures etc…

Not to mention that Korean Idols tend to be more popular when compared to foreign idols in South Korea prior to achieving international fame…hence the lower pay for foreign idols

I think Lisa cuz she got lot of hate for being Thai

I just thought that it was because maybe during training the Korean idols could stay at their own homes but the foreign idols would have to stay at the company which would mean they would have to pay the company back more so they wouldn't get payed as much at the start🤷‍♀️

I think it's the opposite, the idol's popularity beneficts the group's popularity. Because of that, I'd argue Lisa benefits BlackPink, not the other way around. Also, Blackpink is at a point where Lisa benefits Thailand itself, ya'll better realize that.

Probably double taxes!?
And Korea is a homogenous country.
Expecting equal treatment for foreigners is daydream. No matter what airbrushed kdramas and media tell you.
Although I would expect professional settings to at least mask it better.

Felix from Stray Kids. He got eliminated the first time he auditioned because he wasn’t really fluent in Korean because he was born in Australia😔😔😔. No hate to Felix BTW. But know Felix is like SKZ’s oxygen. I am so proud of him🥲🥲
