single-serve brown butter chocolate chip cookie #shorts

I am such a fan of cookie recipes that don't tell me to cream the butter. The brown butter looks amazing.

Recipe:
1/4 cup brown butter or 60 grams
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp white sugar
2 tbsp egg whisked
splash of vanilla
1/2 cup + 3 tbsp all-purpose flour or 90 grams
1/2 tsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
1/4 cup chocolate chips or chunks

If you want just a couple of cookies then just make a big batch of cookie dough and freeze the rest already weighed out for each serving. Then you can just toss how many you want in a toaster oven and cook from frozen.

I just flash freeze the cookie dough into separated portions then bag it up in a gallon Ziploc bag. Whenever I want to cookie I just turn on the oven and throw the cookie in there for 10 minutes or so.

When I want a single cookie, it’s not because I only want one, it’s because I don’t want to go through the trouble of an oven lol. Cookies look great though, no hate. ❤

I’ve made this twice now and both times I’ve ended up with enough dough for 3 large cookies so idk what I’m doing different but hey it tastes good 👍

or make a full batch & freeze the leftover dough. then you can pull out the dough balls and just bake them whenever you want. why go through all this trouble for 2 cookies? lol

I don’t get single serve cookie recipes. If I’m going through the trouble to make a cookie I might as well make a whole batch. And what if I eat them and then want more? Cookies look good but I just don’t get it

Good idea but living outside the US, turning on a gas oven just for two cookies makes me feel guilty.

It turned out too sweet for me. You can decrease the sugar. Also, mine didn’t look like yours taste as good though thanks.. first time making cookies yesterday made the chocolate cocoa chip cookie. liked it more. I think everyday will back one from your recipes love the concept of one portion cookies

Orrr what I like to do is make a lot of cookie dough roll it into balls (so when it refrigerates it’s not super hard to take it out and bake it) keep it in the fridge and bake 1-2 at a time
