In a day of rampant narcissism and very little manners,
You are making hard things..well, easy! Thanks Jefferson❣️

Great advice. Amazing how few people cannot simply let you share an anecdote without immediately having to step on your story with one of their own.

Thank you, Jefferson! I know your videos are not made for me to say this, but you are adorable! 😊

Thank you so much. Sometimes it is tricky to know what ‘the rules are’ so that is a big help.

And thank you thank you for your sweet, short way of sending sound(s)

I discovered your channel about a week ago, and I'm so glad I did. Your wisdom is truly insightful, and I’ve started incorporating it into my own thinking. I hope you reach the wider audience you deserve!

Thank you. I never understood why people shun me.

Friendship attempts failures:
1. "You're so nice! I wonder why nobody likes you!"
2. "You're very smart! I never noticed before!" (After 10 years working together)
3. "You must have been a pretty girl when you were younger!"
And so on... 🤨💨

So true! We ladies empathize deeply & need to wait before we answer

I struggle with all three of these, Jefferson. Thank you for stating these points and easy fixes for them!

“Don’t step on their story” happens a lot to me! I also hear it a lot when I observe others talking in my circles of friends. When it happens, does it mean that person wants to validate their understanding of my sentiments by showing that I am not the only one going through that particular or similar situation? Sometimes it feels as if they want to “compete”.

Because of listening to you, I am becoming an all around better person❤

People want to immediately tell you how to “fix it” instead of showing empathy first for what the person is going thru, how they are feeling.

You are awesome. Don’t stop doing what you are doing!

One bit of advice that you’ve given in other vids that I’ve really been applying is when turning someone down give the negative first like “I can’t go” but then add thank you for asking or thanks for thinking of me because whatever you say last is what they’ll remember.

I tend to be grouchy and standoff ish, but I feel like just phrasing things the right way can take the sting out of interacting for others. I like my own time but I don’t want to hurt peoples feelings when I maintain boundaries. I was just never taught how. So… thank you so much. ❤❤

Solid advice, the opposite of toxic narcissism

Listening with an open heart is something I'm working on. My friend would always say I just want you to try to understand, but I was always trying to 'fix it'. She died young. I wish I had another opportunity to just listen with love. :(
