As someone who has a potentially life-threatening medical condition I was very worried. Most prescription medicine is made abroad, so a strike could have been very dangerous for people like me. If we can't get our medications refilled because the port workers are on strike we die!

I have a washlet, I don't need toilet paper. I use a washcloth to dry. Washlets are easy to install and are inexpensive. I paid $35 or so for mine many years ago. I still have TP for the guest restroom and for when the water lines freeze.
