The LG C1 and G1 are two of the best TVs money can buy. They are unbeatable for watching movies, and gaming on your PlayStation or Xbox console. With deep rich colours, amazing contrast, true blacks and a lightening fast response time, you'll not find another TV that has so many features (in my opinion). Support for Dolby Vision is also a big bonus, and you'll get to watch content as the creator intended.
In this video I use research and my experience to find the best TV picture setup and settings for the LG C1 and G1 (which both now share the same panel). I'll look at SDR, HDR, Dolby Vision and gaming. Plus streaming via Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Netflix, Rakuten and YouTube.
Although I don't use any particular calibration tools, most of my settings are close if not the same as having your TV calibrated. I'm looking for a bright vibrant picture that also has good colour and contrast. Accuracy is also a factor, although not at the expense of the TV picture that I find most pleasing.

If anyone is on the fence between the C1 and newer model C2. Your gonna pay 1500 dollars more for the C2 for 20-25% more screen brightness. I would go with the C1

Hello great video. I had a question about your game settings. I see you said you left everything at default. Does that include HDR and non HDR settings? I don't think you show in your video you playing games that weren't in HDR from what I can tell?

I thought I was going crazy because I couldn’t see almost any detail in the darks during Dolby Vision gaming. It was really making me regret purchasing this TV but after turning off Dolby Vision the picture looks so much clearer for me. Thank you so much!

I agree with the reviewer about Dolby vision cinema being a little dark although I don’t like the artificial colour of cinema home. Personally after weeks of tweaking, I settled with Cinema mode and added both Auto Dynamic Contrast and Peak Brightness to medium. It gives you a little more shadow detail and doesn’t quite wash out the colour as much. Anyone who’s struggling to get the right settings should try this. I know every panel is different but I like colour and brightness both at 50 too.

4:59 the correct setting for logo brightness is “HIGH” for full protection against any kind of image retention or burn in. It says so in the owners manual.

thanks! Quick question did you go into settings and turn “hdmi deep color” to 4k? Or did you leave that off? When I turn that on most my content is put through HDR.

Thanks for this video. I was wondering what would be the setting to choose for SDR video games?? For a PS2 for example (far less than 1080p) or an xbox 360 for an example with 1080p hardware.
