Your TV's sharpness control should be turned down, not up

That temptingly named control can actually obscure fine details. Here’s why.
Your TV has a lot of picture settings, like brightness, color and shapness, and turning them all up might seem like a great idea. Who wants a picture that's dim, colorless and dull, right?
In reality, maxing out those adjustments can ruin your picture, making it less accurate and limiting the potential of the best TVs. An image that's too bright or garish is easy to understand, but sharpness takes some explaining.
Increasing the sharpness control will actually add something called edge enhancement, which can diminish the fine resolution in the image you're looking at.
If sharpness is set to high, you might not be benefiting from all the crisp detail that's possible in that fancy 4K tv. Sometimes the best setting is actually 0, while on most TVs the setting is best in the bottom 20% or so.

I've always set mine high and it's always better than a low setting for console tv gaming and I've been gaming for years.
If you are sitting close like at a desk with a monitor then mid to lower settings maybe better!

Lowering sharpness makes games blurry no one really knows what they are saying

I agree, When my TV was at Sharpness 50, and I hooked my PC up to it, there were outlines ruining the whole image. When I disabled sharpness. there were no outlines. And the image in fact was even sharper.

Some 4K tv's sharpness goes to 20 and others goes to 100, the one I have it goes to 20 and it's better at 7 and in this video it says for some tv's it should be adjusted @ in the bottom 20% or so. So on my tv 7 is perfect and for tv's that sharpness goes to 100 it's better @ 15 through 23 👍

I also research on that, but when I setting up sharpness, picture quality is more fancy at 0% sharpness, ❤

Nah some TVs going below 10 softens the image and some even 50 is the minimum. On LG OLED for example you want 10 as it adds a light anti aliasing effect but adds no sharpness while 11 plus sharpens. If you go to 0 you are gimping your viewing experience for no reason.

I've noticed when playing games with HDR on. If the sharpness is set even to a minimum then it creates a weird edge effect that flickers on and off depending if I move or not. Its very distracting, and I found that sharpness to 0 solves it completely

I like mine to be a bit below sharp lightly more soft

I tried playing with my sharpness on 0 and oh boy I can't do it, it gave me a headache and I felt sick I had to turn it up a bit and yes I do be seeing weird glowing things around the screen but I'll just have to deal with it because ain't no way I can play and enjoy my game with sharpness on 0

Besides using the Color Bars to tweek settings I start off with my sharpness at zero then I slowly bring it up until the pitcher gets as sharp as a tack but not too grainy! My current sharpness is set at 75 which is perfect for my Samsung TV! 📈📉
