The SUV with the best design is the 2016 Hyundai Tucson getting released this summer in the US. And it's coming with diesel and AWD! Hyundai makes the best AWD transmissions, that's why Hyundai is Rank #1 in market share in Russia. Because Russians need the best AWD transmissions due to the colder climate.

The 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe is the best SUV of 2015. 
It has the best diesel engine/AWD transmission combination and the interior styling is very attractive and nice. The leather seats are the most luxurious and comfortable seats I've ever experienced in an SUV. 
The next on my list would be the 2016 KIA Sorento and 2015 Toyota Highlander. But the seats on these SUVs aren't as comfortable and the Highlander has an unsatisfactory power/weight ratio.
