My shoulder pops out if I fall in snowboarding, toweling off from the shower, while I'm asleep, sneezing, flinching, reaching above my head and a bunch of other ways. First time happened at 20 years old. Finally had surgery at 40 years old to fix a torn labrum and after physical therapy and 10 months later it popped out again. And now it continuously pops out just like it used to. Having the surgery doesn't necessarily fix the problem.

I just had reverse shoulder replacement on Tuesday, September 19. I am still recovering from the anesthesia. I get very emotional, and I will cry at the smallest thing. I had had rotator cuff repair last November; however, the repair was only partial. After the surgery, my doctor told me that I had made the right decision because the rotator cuff had all the edges in a braided. I only had some bursa material in the joint.

I'm a chronic dislocater, and surgery helped a lot! Dislocation really hurts. Get surgery after the first pop out! Never wait

I popped out mine at Lowes loading plywood. I lifted it over my head and it overpowered my left arm/shoulder. I collapsed from the pain. My wife came and got me and took me to the ER. It was out for over 30 minutes if not more. They had to dope me up. My deltoid muscle went dead for a few weeks. I watch myself a little closer now and ALWAYS get lifting help when its offered.

Have you discussed costochondritis yet? It feels like shin splint in the chest. Never heard of it until I developed it doing too much physical work. ❤️

Ive been dislocating my shoulder since im a kid, it happened frequently. But when puberty hit stability came back, and i got heavily depressed and lost muscle mass in the past years so just recently it has started again, it happened on a first date by putting on my damn coat. The date happened at the hospital. It happened a month before by putting my seatbelt. Doc says I should consider physical therapy first, to gain back stability. But if it gets no where, to see an ortho, and see what they think of it all. Probably end up with a surgery.

I’m not sure if I dislocated or not. Shoulder hurts like shit, and my hurt shoulder hangs lower than my normal shoulder. My hurt arm also feels numb. My grip is also not as tight as my normal arm

Dislocating the shoulder sounds very painful! 😫
I've only ever had a frozen shoulder and that was painful enough!
I don't think I do anything that would cause a dislocated shoulder (I hope)!
Another great video! 👍

Yeah but when it's stabilized do you lose full range of motion? That's the main reason I haven't even considered surgery. It sucks it dislocates so easily but it's manageable and I still can use my arm, but it'd be really nice to be able to throw a baseball again

I worried so much after my right hip was replaced, that if I moved wrong, it would dislocate! That scared me more than the surgery itself. My Surgeon stated that it would be very painful if it happened. Thank God it didn’t. My new right hip is soon to be 5 years old, and I’m doing fantastic! 🥰

My husbands shoulder went out of place near his neck area and the surgeon could not put it back into place, should we find another surgeon and why didnt he just open him up and to try pop it back into place? He says he will remain like that and will still have some arm movement and it will improve just a littlein time but he will always have that bump! Im confused with this all i think i need to get a second opinion this cannot be the final say so!?☹️
