I feel like we’re about to get an ad for one of those new string brands

Head lynx tour, orange color -to me it’s softer than the other colors
Give it a try

🔥 🔥 🔥🔥🔥For me, KSSO worked best in Babolat Pure Drive Team @42lbs… but it did not work in Yonex Ezone 100 @42lbs.. I felt more vibration and string dead feel.. idk if I received older string…

then switched to Head Lynx Tour.. No it did not work but same Head Lynx Tour worked best in Babolat Pute Aero 100…

then I tried Head Hawk in Yonex Ezone @ 48lbs… it’s amazing so far.. perfect setup for balanced power, control, spin..

What I’m thinking 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Stiffer frame - mostly softer string works best…

Flexible frame - mostly stiffer string works best.

(Pros, plz share your suggestions)

My preferred setup.
Tension: 48lbs (winter) and 50lbs(summer) on main/cross
String thickness: 1.25mm

For low tensions, probably Tour M8 if you finally get a control racket. Otherwise, Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour

Head Lynx Tour 1.20mm black at 50lbs, the best string ever. Super predictable, durable, confortable, tons of control, goes well in any racquet.

For low tensions, Grapplesnake Tour M8 is the best option.

Element is also my favourite Luxilon string (of the ones I’ve tried) but is too expensive for me to use regularly. I haven’t found anything cheaper to match it but I’m currently using MSV Swift which is quite nice and worth a try. I’m using a Tecnifibre 298 for context.

I bought a reel of Super Smash Orange and a pair of Babolat Pure Drives because of your channel…lol. Unfortunately, after trying various tensions, I didn’t care for the string, and after trying many strings and tensions in the PD eventually went to a Pure Aero with Hyper-G at 46lbs and gave the PD’s to my wife. The string is probably fine, it may have just gotten in my head the fact it’s round and also while stringing I noticed it doesn’t slide on itself nearly as well as other polys.

I’ll always be the weakest link regardless of what equipment I’m using, but I think there’s something to be said about the power of the psychological component when you feel really good (or not) about your equipment. That said, some set-ups definitely work better than others.

Using Super Smash at 35 pounds on my Gravity Pro, and it is the best combo. You can hit as hard as you want and as slow as you want, the ball will react well.

Hey Nick, as I predicted you will probably choose Dunlop FX 500 as your new racquet, I’ll make another for your strings!

It is a string from another german manufacturer, the Grapplesnake Tour M8! Super soft touch, crazy responsiveness, good power, excellent spin, great snap back and the best caracteristic: permorfms INCREDIBLE WELL at low tensions, between 40-45 lbs and holds tension a lot too!

FOR SHURE your combo will be FX 500 and Tour M8 strings!

Super smash a good string for heavier frames. Did not work in my light (10.5 oz) Volkl 4 ) I have Kirschbaum Evolution in mains of 1 of those rackets plays well. BTW SMASH good as has longer life span than most as does Evolution

Signum Pro Poly Plasma is an underrated string. Great feel, durability and tension maintenance. Inexpensive as well.

I think one of the greats (?Becker or Lendl) said something to the effect that the racquet's just there to hold the strings which is what hits the ball. I enjoy NG/poly hybrid as it keeps tension /playability but in the humidity of FL and with how hard you're hitting this would be a costly replacement. I guess we'll have to know why you want to switch and what you're looking for (feel/power/spin?)

Not a fan of the super smash. Give the Kirshbaum ProLine II a try. Hybrid with a multifilament if you want a softer feel

New racquet, new strings.

That's the way it is.
