One condition you missed- When person ahead uses hazard lights. People just see others in front using hazards and within seconds you see everyone around using hazard lights as if its a contagious disease

​2 days ago my bike throttle body had failure in between the road.
I turned on my hazard light, but no one took my seriously.
Just because of the other so called bikers keep their hazard light on all the time.

People please use it judiciously, else it will just become a blinky toy, that no one cares about.

Most cars do not have rear red fog lights and if they are present, keeping them on during low visibility conditions tend to confuse cars following in the rear into believing that the vehicle ahead is applying brakes or slowing down. Have applied them in my XUV500 and vehicles just begin honking incessantly..

A country where people dont use turn signals expecting them to use hazard lights properly is just waste of the time. As a driver you need to assume every car on road a potential idiot and drive according to that. Thats why mile munching is so tiring in our country ✌️

Usage 1: When you want to go fast in traffic. Apparently, people should give way if you are using hazard lights.
Usage 2: When it is raining. Hazard lights will protect the car from rusting.
Usage 3: When there is fog. This will make the fog disappear and give better visibility.

I think you missed one, have seen people who drive straight in a junction use hazard light :D

To all those who are saying this should be taught, or told by DMV or manufacturers, this info is part of your test for a Driving License (Learner's License test). As those tests used to be filled out by DMV employees most of the time, it is not a surprise most people don't know.

Can hazard lights be used when going straight at a traffic intersection where all the traffic lights are amber? And after crossing, hazard lights be turned off.
