You channel should be HUGE. If I had a nickel for every time I came back here for something the past few years OR discovered something new when I did. I came here this morning for your 802.11r guide and saw this and my world has changed LOL - I'd been using xrdp from my desktop for certain things on my Debian server because, I know it's sacrilege but I cannot be arsed to do file management with CLI. It's infuriating. This is game changing and I can't believe I didn't know it existed soon or no one at work has suggested it by now. You're amazing, sir lol Thank you again.

Heya Marc, I watched this on my TV earlier and am now back because I don't have the ability to 'like' videos from the TV and also wanted to ask if you use Ansible at all with your Linux machines. I have not implemented it as of yet here as, yes believe it or not, the basement reno is STILL ongoing. Nonetheless, I have been trying to learn in the interim and TechnoTim and Jeff Geerling have some awesome videos on it as an automation/interface into Linux.
Thanks again for yet another great video and thank you for introducing Webmin :)

Hello Marc. Thanks for another great video.

I'm a great fan of OpenWRT, but recently I'm considering running Webmin on top of OpenSUSE running on those tiny chinese x86 boxes with 5 or 6 LAN ports plus an WiFi6E Intel ax210 card. I could be running OpenWRT on that probably... but it is an x86 machine with 16Gb of RAM and a lot of SSD space, and, in this case, I would say that OpenWRT loses its advantages and appeal.

I suggest a video covering this subject, possibly focusing on the pros and cons of using Webmin as a router administration solution when compared to OpenWRT/Luci. Whilst OpenWRT/Luci are definitely tweaked for providing great control of networking tasks, the flexibility of a Linux box with dozens of thousands of packages available, plus possibility of compiling whatever you wish ... well... that's difficult to beat. The obvious cons is that there's no such thing like Luci available for OpenSUSE. This is where Webmin comes in and ultimately, this is the reason for my suggestion.

I will be trying this alternative as soon as my SSDs arrive. I will be using OpenSUSE Tumbleweed installed as server (but not as a transactional server) with obvious choice for btrfs with SSDs. I will configure Squid caching. There's chance that I run Asterisk inside a Podman container.

Another wonderful and concise video.
How would you compare with the more recent Cockpit which should run lighter given use of system sockets?

I’m looking to build an inventory system on my raspberry pi4 that I can access from any computer locally. I have a usb bardcode scanner connected to a computer in my warehouse. And all I want is for me to scan items when they arrive and scan items when they leave. I found a system but idk how to edit the GUI. Is webmin customizable? I just looking to be pointed in the right direction
