I can't understand why people are so bumb not to understand what is going on.. It clearly written in simple English in the video.. Download AOMEI and so what shit u want to do... Please understand First 2 ways is only for understand of different methods irrespective data is loss and 3 way is where data is not loss.. Don't just do shit without knowing.. This is the best video I'd come across.. During Win 10 installation i came across this GPT drive problem.. It didn't install Win 10 now I hope i can install it...

Glad I saw these comments...saved me playing around with the tool. Always try to have old stuff lying around you can test these tools with before you touch your live data...and always make a back up first....borrow a friends external drive or get a Trial version of Acronis and back up to cloud.

yes, the program will not allow you converting to GPT, because currently your mainboard only supports booting from MBR. If your mainboard supports UEFI, converting to GPT is ok and you can boot from the GPT disk. Hope we have clarified the things, if any other problem, let us know. (:

Tip for everyone else: SKIP TO THE PART IN THE VIDEO WHERE THEY USE THE AOMEI TOOL! DON'T DO THE COMPARISON BIT BEFORE IT!

God, I'm such an idiot. The uploader isn't necessarily suggesting you DO the methods for steps 1 & 2, Watch the full video. Watch past 2:35 or Skip to 2:35 if you don't want to be confused.

Much better way than this which does not work in many situations. Use easeus todo backup to clone your disk to another drive and boot from the drive you cloned it to, then convert the selected drive to GPT and clone the drive back too its original data state and boot once again from the original drive :) hope this helps.

many thx for the video. thankfully i was having problems with a 2nd newly purchased hard drive so i didnt lose anything when i deleted the volume to convert it to gpt. =)

Why show 3 different ways to seriously mess up peoples drives before getting to the application?
Most novices would have wiped their (or customers) drive and never got to the part about getting the application.
Your first callout should have said "First let's cover how to normally convert from MBR to GPT which DESTROYS all your data".
Then your callout for the application should say "Now lets find out how to convert WITHOUT data loss..."

I don't have any other OS installed, just a bootable USB. So, I can't follow these steps. What should I do ? The diskpart option during the window installation shows one single disk of full memory, without partitions.

Do you have to convert the whole disk to GPT? Can you only convert certain partitions in the disk?

I have just one disk with boot partition which I can not delete. so plz help.

You should keep some files inside the partition and show and after converting show those files are still there.

You can only boot from a GPT disk if your motherboard uses UEFI instead of BIOS. To convert your main disk you could boot from a Linux live CD/USB and use a tool like gdisk.
