TO THOSE THAT ARE UPSET ABOUT NO MIC. I have 2 flip 4’s, I hate the mic to the point where I disconnect the speaker for a call, and if I want to voice type, it almost never gets it right. That’s the reason they got rid of it. More cost and it sucked. Just upgraded to a Charge 5 and Flip 6 💪🏼

I have one just like it. Use it on board my Gator at work all the time playing old school jams. It packs quite a punch! Not bad for some $100.

Both are great speakers but I think they sound about the same. If you own the 5 not worth upgrading.

I was waiting on this video that flip 5 is hardly dropping in price got my Flip 6 on order from Amazon waiting on it you seemed a bit disappointed I’m hoping the bass is a little deeper. I’m glad it is finally here and your videos are the best indeed. I’ve been playing the charge 4 and flip 4 and 5 they all sound amazing the Flip 6 has to be better. Thanks for another great video.

After I tried both! I would totally recommend the Charge5 over these 2, also I recommend the 100 which is beyond amazing and beautiful to look at.

Main differences are:
Flip 6 is dust-proof/waterproof
Flip 5 is waterproof only
Flip 6 is Bluetooth 5.1
Flip 5 is Bluetooth 4.2
Flip 6 connects to Charge 5 and newer
Flip 5 connects to Charge 4 and older

Great review, but you forgot to mention one of the most practical featues of the Flip 6...the stabilistion bar so it doesn't roll around! I was waiting for you to mention it but *sigh*

awesome review! I have a jbl charge 5 already and was looking for another speaker to connect it for party mode but this isnt what im looking for because the flip 6 has no bass so im getting a jbl xtreme 3

So because it has no microphone, if I am playing music on my phone through the speaker, and somebody rings my phone, will I know if a call is coming through if I'm not looking at my phone? Thanks!

The JBL flip 6 on top volume is harsh loudness your loses the cleaness but the mid volume and lows are outstanding specially the bass I got 2x flip 6 in stereo 3D mode in 3D you sound mimicking the hallway!

That’s a bug that you have to connect to flip 6 first as they might have left the code for flip 5 as it is and have the code to handle flip 6 as that is new code.

I like both but, I think they sound similar… I just bought the Flip 5 on a Black Friday sale and was debating between the two. I have watched a few reviews and it has been hard to completely make a decision 🤦🏻‍♀️😂.
