Lucy Olsen, who was the nation's No. 3 scorer last season, joins CBS Sports HQ from Big Ten Media Days. Olsen transferred to Iowa this offseason and looks to step into the No. 1 spot on this offense a year removed from Caitlin Clark's greatness.

Why would talented girls like Caitlin and Lucy not play in Europe. The best can make 7-digit salaries and not have to put up with prima donnas, bs and virtually no audience. No audience means crappy paychecks. Caitlin Clark sold out road games. People paid to see her not the WNBA. Then there are endorsements, sometimes America isn't the end all be all in sports, we sometimes think we are but we're not. At least in womans professional basketball. Caitlin Clark doesn't need the WNBA, the WNBA needs Caitlin Clark.
