Iowa did not land many recruits from the 2024 class? They have five freshman coming in and four of them are top 100 recruits.

I'm a UCONN women's fan so saw a lot of Lucy. Man, she is really, really good. Hate to lose her from the BIG EAST but good for her and good for Iowa.

Iowa made the Sweet 16 just before Clark arrived in Town. Plus they were making the NCAA Tournament on a regular basis. So all this talk about how Iowa was nothing before Clark arrived is just talk from those that know nothing about Basketball. This new addition will make a nice 1 TWO punch with Iowa's other Current leftover Star that certain folks somehow can't see. Plus just maybe this IOWA coach actually KNOWS how to Coach.

Saying that Coach Bluder can’t recruit is ridiculous. She has had two National Player of the Year winners in the last 6 years. One of those two players broke dozens of NCAA records. In this year’s WNBA draft her players were the #1 and #18 picks. She took her team to the National Championship game two years in a row and they are the only team to beat South Carolina in the past two years! The incoming class has 4 players in the ESPN top 100. Yeah, I guess she can’t recruit.

I question some of the information in this video.
I think this will help Iowa stay in the conversation and hopefully continue to be a ranked team. You just never know how new recruits will fit in, but from what I can see, Lucy Olsen should be great!

Iowa has many pieces that the passing fan is unaware. Iowa had a player come off the bench just in thr post season and make All Conference Tournament team AND All Regional NCAA Tournament Team in Affolter. McCabe might be an even more efficient outside shooter than Marshall. Stuelke averaged 14 ppg, scored 47 vs. Michigan, scored 23 vs. UConn in the Final Four. Add in Olsen and Iowa has the necessary core to reload.

Lucy has a fantastic midrange game. I will miss seeing her in the big east. But I think this move positions her to be drafted next year. So it was a no brainer.

I wanna make something clear, Iowa was a tournament team for years before Clark arrived. This isn't just something that has came since Clark arrived, prior to arriving Iowa was in elite eight n have been a tournament team for period of time. Iowa has a decent leftover roster n now getting Olson n also have the #9 recruiting class coming n anothwr top ten class coming in 25-26 so it's no stretch to say Iowa could easily make sweet sixteen again n even further with luck n opponent matchups.

Olson can fill the gap between CC and Addison Deal. It was teamwork that made the 22 / 23 and 23 / 24 teams so successful. That may take some time to replicate.

Coach Bluder is an amazing coach and mentor. She brings out the best in her players. This young lady will do very well in Iowa

By Lisa Bluder not being a good recruiter do you mean Lisa Bluder doesn't have countless dollars from wealthy donors to buy her a team? I don't particularly find many of the other coaches at the top schools being great recruiters either, but it's funny how much money talks and there's certain schools that have fans that will spend endless amounts of money to ensure they have the best just not one of them so their accomplishments are more real.

"Iowa did not land many recruits from the 2024 class" IRL Iowa is bringing in 4 top 100 recruits and was ranked the 9th best recruiting class in 2024.

Universities such as Iowa, Stanford, Michigan and Ohio State attract athletes who care about academics as much as athletics, unlike the universities such as South Carolina, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee and the rest in the Deep South that care more - a lot more - about athletics than about academics. That's probably why Olsen committed to Iowa, instead of to LSU, being a smart girl that she is.

There is no doubt about Iowa having a very strong future,
They are the premier team in the country because of Caitlin,
The sellout crowds should remain consistent
Their incoming recruits 25, 26 is very impressive
I think the honorable way they do business is now being promoted by the outside world
And they just were a big part of who Caitlin is now.
They let her develop,
Also she wasn’t over coached and screwed up

Makes them preseason top twenty next year

Iowa needs to find somebody who is 6 foot 4 or taller - they need some height. That height along with Olsen would help make up for Clark leaving - even though you can never replace Clark. They have Hanna, as well as some other girls off the bench, who had opportunities to get minutes each game and experience and feel the style of Clark's play - that will be crucial going into the next season. There were a few girls who impressed me with their fundamentals and their ability to read the court and know what Clark was trying to do. I was impressed since they didn't get a lot of playing time. Let's see how it all unfolds.

Did not land many recruits? I believe Iowa has the #9 incoming recruiting class in the country.
