did you notice/see Diana Taurasi expression?...Diana stayed calm but it choked her up, surprised we didn't see tears....

An unexpected answer silences Diana. Diana was fearless and her mission was to win the national championship no matter who the adversary was.

This is so true! Diana is definitely top 5 in all of women’s basketball ever!

I agree 💯.
Diana Tuarasi was the one of the only reasons I watched women's collegiate basketball outside of my home state of South Carolina...
She was must see t.v....
She was fearless and she had the talent to back it up!!!

As much as I love the players on Iowa, Taurasi had a much, much better supporting cast around her. The only thing that compares to what Clark has done with what’s around her is what Larry Bird did with his Indiana State team before losing to Magic in 79’.

Really? No one has seen a player like Clark before. No one shoots it on a regular basis as far out as she does. NO ONE! No one has seen someone averaging 30 points a game average 10 assists a game. NO ONE! Geno has been a tremendous gatherer of talent. He's coached these All Americans into unprecedented greatness, but Geno is full of shit on his answer to this question.

Never sell out your players. Respect this coach

Diana Tarausi was a great college player. I'd say she was a better athlete than most she played with, and she had great skill. She played nothing like Clark who's game starts about 35' from the bucket and everything runs through her. Tarausi also had a team that is so much better than Iowa outside of Clark. Four other players drafted over the next two years. Clark ain't getting that.

Was a nice comment for his former player, yes. But he's not going to make a big deal about Caitlin because he absolutely did nothing to recruit her. She was all set to go to UCONN and no one from that school bothered to contact her. Bet they regret that!

I’m a big Clark fan, but I love his answer. A lot of times ppl forget how good players were in the past. Clark is amazing though.

Nice try Geno, you didn’t answer the question…..You didn’t see anyone dropping 30’ bombs averaging over 30 a game for 2 years straight….

What was surprising about that answer?🤣 That's EXACTLY what he was supposed to say. Diana Taurasi was amazing. She played in a different system than Caitlin Clark. But she could still dominate, in a similar way. Maya Moore too.

Never get tired of watching his response.
She was amazing...

Taurasi averaged 16 a game as a senior. 18 as a junior. Just the numbers.

I watched UConn for twenty years and if anyone was over rated it is Taurasi not Clark. The teams they played against besides Tennessee were junior varsity.

Caitlin took local Iowa girls not national, multiple states best talent and took to national championship twice. No other player who has ever played could take them twice to the money game. His blood is blue, but pyrite being sold! Connecticut, South Carolina get multiple 5 star recruits every year in whole country…He knows better. Give Caitlin 8 five star recruits sweeping people off floor!

UConn won like 11 national titles compared to Iowas Zero. So to me joining UConn is taking the easy way. Cant really put much weight on it.

Plus no one has seen teams like South Carolina. They lost only like 3 games in 3 years. They would have swept the floor with UConn

Geno didn't even had to think about it, even though he hesitated a bit 😁 Diana I saw you all 4 yrs in UCONN, not from the sidelines, 😁 that team I think y'all went undefeated. I just saw Caitlin this year she's in Iowa WHERE? lol with hardly any one helped her in the game against LSU. It's different Geno recruits the best and since its UCONN they decide to go play for him. Caitlin is fearless and I'm rooting for her to make it to another final 4. I Think Diana was phenomenal but Caitlin is from another planet.😁

Geno don't wanna give Caitlyn no props whatsoever.

I'm not sure who the player on the left is but I do know who Taurasi is. Neither one of them have ever striked as much interest in women's college basketball as Caitlin Clark has. I an avid sports guy and I have to admit, I've never watched a minute of women's basketball till I heard about Clark. She's a huge talent.
